A Habsburg Garrison Town in Peace and War: Trebinje 1878-1918 :
 
Tomorrow, Monday 30th, An Cumann Staire invites you to our first guest lecture of this semester entitled, ‘A Habsburg Garrison Town in Peace and War: Trebinje 1878-1918.’ The lecture presented by Prof. Cathie Carmichael (University of East Anglia) will be held in the Dillon Theatre at 7PM. This lecture will be followed by an informal Q & A and complementary refreshments will be available after the event. Reeling in the Years (1987-1989) 
 
On Wednesday, 25th , An Cumann Staire  yet again invites everyone to to a screening of a couple of episodes of our favourite T.V. show, Reeling in the Years. The screening will take place in the Dillon Theatre at 7PM. If you love the 80’s, you should definitely come along as the episodes will cover the years from 1987 to 1989  and all the crazy shenanigans that went on at the time. Christams Party and A Good First Semester (66.10)

Fellow History Enthusiasts,
We have had a very good first semester in terms of interesting and thought provoking events and top quality laughs. Approaching the end of this wonderful year, we still have one event lined up to celebrate this festive season.

An Cumann Staire is proud to be hosting our Annual Christmas Party, this Friday, 25th at 7PM in McSwiggans Bar in Woodquay. In our next installment of our lecture series, this Thursday 10thAn Cumann Staire, is proud to be host to Dónal Ó Catháin (NUIG), who will be presenting a lecture entitled ‘The Fitzgeralds of Desmond and Gaelic Culture in the Late Medieval Period’. The lecture will take place in the Larmor Theatre on the concourse at 7PM. T. Cosgrave and Irish Democracy’. The lecture will take place in the McMunn Theatre on the concourse at 7PM.
