Comhdháil Bhliantúil CCS – IHSA Annual Conference
25ú – 26ú Feabhra 2011
The Comhaltas na gCumann Staire / Irish History Students’ Association was founded in 1950 and comprises student history societies from all over Ireland.
The CCS/IHSA organises an annual conference which is organised in rotation by the country’s third level institutions.
This year’s conference is being hosted on the banks of the lovely Laoi in the beautiful campus of UCC.
As usual our university will be represented by the Cumann Staire as we will be sending a group to the conference.
We encourage members to consider presenting papers but welcome those who simply want to attend for the opportunity to hear great papers,
meet fellow history students from all over Ireland and overseas, chat with famous historians and have great craic!
Any member of the CS presenting a paper will have their full transport, accommodation and conference fee costs covered. All other members attending
will have the fee paid for as well as the usual 50% of their travel and accommodation costs.
Those wishing to present will need to submit abstracts to firstname.lastname@example.org by 22 January, not exceeding 300 words in length, and both undergraduate
and postgraduate students present at the conference. Presentations are to be a maximum twenty minutes long and the use of Powerpoint etc. is encouraged.
