Séan, known to one-and-all as Duibhir, has been a loyal member of the Cumann Staire both as a Coiste member and as an active general member. In 2007 he ran a very successful Arts Bál that firmly secured its new format and size, with 1000 attending it in the Radisson Hotel Gaillimh. This built on his active involvement in the great changes introduced for the previous year's ball. Duibhir is currently working on his PhD thesis on Irish politics in the 1930s.

Duibhir is from Béal Átha na Sluaighe, Contae Na Gaillimhe and speaks Irish and English.
