Sean Boyle was the Cisteoir of the Cumann Staire for the academic years 2008-09 & 2009-10 and has legendary status in the society. He studied history and archaeology as part of his Bachelor of Arts. Seán is particularly interested in the areas of military history, the rise of civilisations and ancient history. As of the 2010 AGM, Sean was made an honoury life member of Cumann Staire.

Seán is from Tír Chonaill in the north-west of Ireland. He also has strong family links to Scotland. Sean is currently in the process of completing a Masters in Archaeology by the banks of the lovely Lee in University College Cork for 2011/12.
