Nóra Ní Dhómhnaill won the Best Fresher award at the Societies Awards in her first year as an Arts undergrad. This she earned through her efforts for both the Cumann Staire and the Lit&Deb Society. For her second year she was chosen to be the organiser of Arts Bál 2009, the most high profile of all the formal dress balls of the university. This event she grew to a new record attendence of over 1300 and oversaw its development into the first multi-venue ball with three music zones.

Nóra is from Tír Chonaill and can speak Irish, English and Spanish. Nóra's preferred areas of historical study are early-modern Europe, the developement of the nation-state, and the nationalism movement. She hopes to continue pursue a career in history through Museum Studies.
