John joined An Cumann Staire in his first year and was duly elected to the committee. John is in the second year of his Bachelor of Arts. He is studying History and French. John was elected P.R.O. in his first year and was involved in organisation of the Halloween Table Quiz and the Arts Ball during year. Later in the year he taught himself how to update the Website and to redesign it also. John was chosen to be Arts Ball Organiser for 2012 jointly with Clíona Ní Chatháin for his second year at the end of year AGM.

John speaks English and French and also has conversational Irish. Although he is based in Ennis, he is a Tyrone native and proud. He is an avid sports fan and loves music and politics. John has in interest in post-modern and contemporary European history and diplomacy, paricularily that of Russia and France.
