A staple of the Arts Ball diet, Trad Soc. ; One of NUIG's biggest societies and certainly best loved of all. They always deliver and start proceedings off with a bang. It certainly would not be the Arts Ball without Trad Soc.







Niamh & The Roots

Niamh Regan is an up and coming act from Galway and is already making a big impact. Her acoustic and folk smooth melodies are sure to enchant during the meal.







DJ Geoff Quigley

Geoff is a local Galway based DJ. He plays a wide spectrum of music and knows how to cater to his audience. He always gets the crowd going wherever he happens to DJ in Galway. Geoff comes with a large amount of lights and special effects and puts on a truely spectacular lights show.







DJ Graham Dolan w/ Basqr & AKA Crap

One of the best loved and most respected DJs in Galway, Graham has been a permanent fixture of Galway's nightlife for close to a decade. Famed for his versatility, his vast knowledge of indie, hip-hop, funk & soul and a broad spectrum of dance music. In Galway alone his party starting skills have seen him share a bill with De La Soul, Primal Scream, Erol Alkan and We Are Scientists. In addition to this last year he rocked the Heineken Greenspace stage at Oxegen and played to nearly 3000 people in the Big Top as part of the Galway Arts Festival.







Basqr & AKA Crap: Live Grafitti Show

Basqr & AKA CRAP are graffiti artists, qualified graphic designers and illustrators based in Galway City. They have done art all around Ireland and the globe, their work known for being very quirky. This is something not to be missed and completely new to the Art Ball.







Whitewater

Whitewater played the Arts Ball last year and played a brilliant set while dancing on the tables with the audience at one point. Irish Rockers Whitewater blasted onto the Irish Music scene in 2006 with the release of their debut single "Original" charting at # 17. Whitewater are a four piece Rock/Pop covers band with four chart singles to date. The band have established themselves throughout Ireland touring the length and breath of the country playing on average twenty shows per month.







Mojo GoGo

Donegal band, Mojo GoGo are renowned for their energy fueled live shows and their hook-laden music have become the stuff of minor legend. From playing some of the country's most prestigious venues, to featuring on the cover of Hotpress magazine, to appearing on The Apprentice - Mojo GoGo's achievements read like those of a far more seasoned act.

The Converse Allstars

The Converse Allstars are a rock, blues, soul and funk cover band playing everything from James Brown to Vampire Weekend to Tom Waits to Prince. The band's five members are experienced professional musicians who have played in a variety of cover, themed and original bands including The God Damn Liars, The Glitterbugs, FYC, Tightrope and Lucas. They are regulars at the Róisín Dubh and always put on a fantastic and energetic show.







DJ Byrno

Byrno is coming back to the Arts Ball after a 2 year absense. He is Galway's best known and best loved DJ, a regular at Cps and Cuba when it was still open. DJ Byrno plays a vast array of music and knows the music that everyone loves to hear out on the dancefloor. Byrno is set to finish off the night with a bang on the main stage.
