in the dexter chief an open ancient book, in the sinister chief a salmon naiant.

Crest:
A wine coloured Castle.

Dhá tarbh ag troid os comhair darach (le dearcáin) ar chnoc uaine,
os cionn tá sean leabhar oscailte ar a dheis agus bradán ar a chlé.

Caisleán i ndath fíon.

Bulls: The ancient saga of the Táin; vellum; the economic history of Éire/Ireland.
An Oak: The tree of the Uí Chonchúir who built a fort at the bottom of the Gaillimh river and who were the last kings of Connacht and Éire; ink from oak galls.

A Salmon: The story of the Bradán Feasa - the Salmon Of Knowledge; the annual salmon run of the Gaillimh/Galway River.
