Trainee Positions – nine months full time, starting January 2012
Closing date: 12 noon on Wednesday 30th November 2011.
Eastside Community Heritage is an organisation that collects and archives local history. It has a large archive of over 1700 hours of oral history and thousands of photographs.
We are seeking to recruit four trainees to develop skills to work in the cultural and heritage industries as Oral Historians. The successful trainees will receive a 10,000 Pounds training bursary and NVQ Level 3 in oral history training.
The project is an exciting three year oral history and digitization training project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund through their skills for the future funding programme. The project will train a total of 12 beneficiaries in skills which will equip them to work in the heritage sector and on heritage and community outreach projects.
Further details and an application form can be found on our web-site, www.hidden-histories.org.uk, and should be submitted to email@example.com by 12 noon on Wednesday 30th November.
